About This Game

Sponge Break is a chaotic co-op rafting game for up to four players. Use physics to steer, dodge hazards, solve puzzles, and fend off wild animal attacks before your raft (and your friendships) fall apart.

Here's the deal: You’re sponges. You’ve recently escaped the kitchen sink. You now find yourselves up an unknown creek without a paddle (literally). And your goal? Navigate a makeshift raft held together with a little bit of driftwood and a lot of wishful thinking down the world’s most dangerous river. 

There's no wheel, no paddles, no sails. In Sponge Break, your raft turns, tilts, and flips based on where your crew is standing. Move forward to accelerate, backward to brake, and from one side to another to shift left or right. Carefully plan your positioning for a smooth ride, or panic and cluster in the worst possible spot.

The river isn't just full of rapids. Your sponges will need to work together to solve challenging puzzles to open new pathways and avoid environmental dangers like bombs, barbed wire, and really angry beavers. On the plus side, there’s also hidden loot tucked off the main route! Blink, though, and you'll float right past it.

A complete run in Sponge Break takes you on a journey across 11  handcrafted levels, from sewers to abandoned facilities and beyond. Each new level features more challenging challenges and more dangerous dangers. Hang out at safehouses in between to patch up, revive, restock, and maybe have a quick argument or two before setting sail again.

A plunger that doubles as a grappling hook. The ability to throw anything that isn't bolted down. Dedicated raft storage for the loot you'll definitely lose the second things get chaotic. Horse-sized inflatable ducks. PROXIMITY VOICE CHAT. And more. Every tool on the river was built with coordination in mind and immediately gets used for the opposite.

In Sponge Break, there are over 100 unlockable cosmetics for your sponges, including eyes, eyebrows, mouths, hats, inflatable buoys, and plunger-hook skins. There’s even emotes for celebrating everything from completing a clean run to pointing very clearly at whoever sank the raft last. (It was Kevin, btw. It's always Kevin.)
